About the OIA
The Open Internet Alliance is an informal group of companies that advocates for fair and progressive regulation in Europe and globally. Companies participate in initiatives on an ad-hoc basis. This site will feature news and events from the group and from individual companies. The participants of this initiative aim to strengthen the advocacy voice of medium-sized companies that promote the Open Internet.
We want to see Open Internet principles clearly reflected in upcoming landmark EU legislation – the Digital Services Act, the Democracy Action Plan, and their equivalents worldwide. Our advocacy efforts may take multiple forms and will feature ad hoc participation from a range of companies and foundations. We’ll work on public position papers, open letters to EU institutions, appealing directly to policy officials, and we’ll endeavour to organise public events, panels or roundtables for interested audiences.
